Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has congratulated Ambassador Nura Abba Rimi on his recent appointment as a Permanent Secretary in the federal civil service.
Recalled that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu last Friday appointed Rimi, an indigene of Katsina State, and seven others as Permanent Secretaries.
Ambassador Rimi's appointment as a Permanent Secretary, followed his emergence as the best candidate in a promotion examination, recently conducted.
The Katsina State-born technocrat was a Senior Protocol Officer and Presidential Liaison Officer at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, prior to becoming an ambassador.
He served as the Presidential Liaison Officer between President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and then President-Elect, Muhammadu Buhari, during the transition of power in 2015.
Felicitating with Ambassador Rimi on his new appointment, Governor Radda, in a statement by his spokesperson, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, appreciated President Tinubu for considering a distinguished Katsina indigene for the latest batch of Permanent appointments.
He said: "The people and government of Katsina State received the elevation of Ambassador Nura Abba Rimi as a Permanent Secretary in federal civil service, with unquantifiable ecstasy. To say that Mr. President did Katsina State a great honour by appointing Ambassador Rimi will not be an exaggeration.
"A cerebral diplomat and an accomplished public servant, Ambassador Rimi is one that we strongly believe will add quantum value to whichever Ministry he will soon be deployed to serve as a Permanent Secretary.
"Personally, I am of the conviction that he will help catalyze the vision of Mr. President for the Nigerian civil service, in line with the federal government's Renewed Hope Agenda. May Allah (S.W.T) be his guide and endow him with astonishing wisdom, laced with good health and a clear sense of vision as he discharges his Permanent Secretary functions".
Signed:
Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed,
CPS to Katsina Governor.
